Bull Riding, the challenge between the man and the beast, is the most exciting and thrilling event of any rodeo! The riders’ bravery, grit, and skill are tested against the sheer power of a raging bull weighing nearly a ton. In this high-adrenaline event, the rider must stay on the bull for a heart-stopping eight seconds minimum. Contestants are allowed to hold on with just one hand while the other hand waves free. It is truly a test of strength, balance, and courage that is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat.

 

The rider’s score is a combination of rider’s athleticism and the bull’s bucking abilities, each at 50 points, for a total possible score of 100. At Sac-Town Rodeo, you’ll see the nation’s toughest bull riders facing off the rankest bulls.
